zzz-giveBIG 2023 Update – May 3, 7pm

As of 7 pm we have raised $30,600 in support of our foster programs and our amazing foster families, which means we will continue to be there for them all, to give them a soft place to land, and provide them with any necessary medical care, for as long as they need, and when they’re ready, help them find their forever home.

There are still match dollars on the table! We have permission to match up to $200 of your gift, which means more for the animals!

Meet Phoenix and Alia

Alia

Phoenix and Alia were living with a woman and a lot of other cats in a 5th wheel. They arrived at MEOW with severe ear mites and were underweight and very scruffy. Additionally, during intake we noticed that Alia had masses in her mouth.

Due to their medical issues, they weren’t candidates for adoption. In their foster home, they received medication for the ear mites, nutritious food, and lots of love. The ear mites cleared up and their coats became shiny and full.

When antibiotic treatment failed to resolve the masses in her mouth, Alia underwent surgical removal and a biopsy. At last, the biopsy results arrived. Benign. Relief. Thank goodness.

Their foster mom reports that Alia doesn’t let anything stop her. She has high energy and can turn anything into a toy.

Phoenix was initially cautious, avoiding all humans. He has taken his time to warm up. In his first several play sessions, Phoenix just watched from his safe space, but he has become a love bug who wants to be with people and enjoys playing with his sister.

These two beautiful cats are now ready for their forever family. We are so thankful to the fosters who give kitties like Phoenix and Alia time to heal, guidance, and lots of attention to help them grow confident, and to you, whose support allows us to be there for all of them.
