Welcoming Senior Cats
Antionette
At 11 years old, Antionette is a spunky senior. She was rescued from the streets by a Good Samaritan, but she didn’t get along with the other pets in the house. Additionally, as a result of an escape attempt, she had been attacked by an animal and her injuries required hip surgery.
Her owner, after seeing her through her surgery, sadly realized that this household wasn’t the best for Antoinette. She needed a happier place to land.
During Antoinette’s examination at MEOW, several darker spots were noted in each of her irises. The experts at Northwest Animal Eye Specialists advised that in the future her eyes should be monitored and regularly checked for changes. Her senior lab work looked great, which is always a relief.
Surely Antoinette will have many years left to be a part of a family, and she is so ready to settle her floofiness onto a lap or a shoulder and keep her special someone warm and cozy. There is something very special about choosing to adopt a senior.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they could tell us their story, share the things they’ve seen and done? But the past is the past. Now they truly just want to spend the rest of their days being doted upon, given all the love they can get, and returning that love.
Thank you for joining with us and transforming the compassion we all feel for the animals into lifesaving action!
