As of 12pm we have raised $21,000 in support of our foster programs and our amazing foster families, which means we will continue to be there for them all, the dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, however they need us.
And we have a new $2,000 match challenge. Until it’s gone, up to $100 of your gift will be matched, increasing your positive impact on the animals!
MEOW Canine Division is small but mighty, rescuing between 10 and 20 dogs each year, often dogs with special needs, dogs in need of diagnostic or emergency veterinary care, dogs who need some extra time to heal or learn how to be their best selves.
Many of these dogs, if in a shelter, might have to wait a very long time to find their forever home. Our dog division relies 100% on foster families to provide a soft place to land for the dogs who come into our care.

They took them from their home, from the person they knew and protected, and they ended up at animal control.
Upon arrival the staff was unable to handle them as they were protecting each other. They needed to be separated and evaluated, but the shelter didn’t have the space for that. Additionally, the shelter is a loud and terrifying environment. Add that to Teddy’s confusion, as well as his age, and his small stature, Teddy needed a helping hand, or he would decline quickly.
