Hello Wonderful Meow Cat Rescue!

We cannot thank you enough for taking the time to make sure that Tiana (now known as Phoebe) was a good match for us and for her!  We visited her twice and she was so shy that it was hard to see what her personality was like.  You folks interacted with her and gave us her background concerning how she was rescued.  This made it much easier to make the decision to adopt her. You also let us know that she should have a quiet, small space for 7 days so that she could feel safe and in control of her new home.

Within 6 hours of bringing her home, her personality began to come out! She slowly began to feel safe and began to ask for pets and lots of attention.  Once her 7 days were up, she immediately began to go up to closed doors and quietly let us know that she wanted to explore! 

She now roams the entire first floor of the house, and she “insists” that we play and give her plenty of pets!  Before long, she’ll have access to the basement, too.  She has the sweetest personality and a tiny meow, but she loves spending time with us, especially in the evenings.  We love having a kitty who is growing into her true self and is beginning to “own” her people!

As always, Stella (McGonagall when she was at MEOW) and I send our very best 😻 She is an amazing cat and I can’t imagine what life would be like without her! I’m grateful to MEOW for giving her a safe place to land before our paths crossed 13+ years ago.

Stella (McGonagall while she was at MEOW) is doing great and loving life as a SoCal sunshine kitty. She’s still my best buddy and I’m so grateful to have her in my life! 😻 

She is just the sweetest, silliest, most perfect cat ever (I may be slightly biased). She is sitting in her window perch chirping at me as I write this.

I recently started working from home full time and it’s been a hoot to get to spend more time with her throughout the day and watch her little routines evolve.

Tomato and Rosemary (renamed Pickle and Ash) are doing great.

The whole family is absolutely in love with them.

Leo Valdez and Nico di Angelo are enjoying life in their new home.

They are both comfortable and happy, and we spend many an evening and weekend cuddling and napping on the couch or running around the living room playing.

Meadowlark and Sage are settling in so well! They love to play and are snuggly too.

We’re all having a great time. Thanks for everyone’s care at Meow!

Nothing but playing, sleeping next to one another, or grooming. They are extremely affectionate to us and our extended family.

Chicho, now called “Percy” ( or “Prince Charming” if you’re my mother) has been an amazing addition to my life! The first day I took him home he was a little shy and hid away, but I woke up the next morning to him curled between my knees and purring up a storm.

After that his shyness seemed to disappear, now he is a total lovebug and hardly ever leaves my side. He has a very nice cat tree in the living room next to a big window with lots of sun, but in true cat fashion he seems to have picked the window sill behind my bed as his favorite place instead.

My mother jokes that he’s a rich gentleman in a cat’s body, spoiled and demanding but so polite about it you want to satisfy his every whim, and I can’t exactly disagree! 

He has so many little quirks that I’m still learning about, and I love each and every one. Like how he has determined that everything in a bowl is his, I can leave fresh fish out on a plate and he won’t touch it but the second I have oatmeal or soup in a bowl he needs to have it. Or how he insists on being cuddled at night , and will insistently chirp at me if I’m not in bed at our normal time.

He normally prefers cuddles and pets to playtime, but when he’s in the mood he’ll pick up and follow me around with the toy he wants (normally his worm on a string) until I stop what I’m doing and play with him. I love my spoiled prince to bits and I don’t know what I’d do without him.

Charlie and Owen are incredibly friendly and trusting, and are making friends with their new big sister, 13 year-old Luna.

We are loving these two! They are so incredibly sweet and fun. We have since renamed them Spin and Ivy.

Spin is the all black spiderman, and we have an almost 6 year old son that is currently obsessed with superheroes. I work from home and they have been hanging out with me in our office during the days, which really helps make work more enjoyable!
