I adopted Meg and Amy-Kat from MEOW in summer of 2017. I was living on my own for the first time and wanted some company and happy purring kitties to be home when I got home from work. Fell in love with Meg’s photo right away, and loved her sister Amy too.

I grew up with calicos and have always had a soft spot for them. After spending time with them both at the shelter, I asked Amy if she wanted me to be her new mom. She folded her tail over her paws and slow blinked at me. I knew then she chose me. When I moved in with my now husband, they both adopted him into the family very quickly, and they love him as much as they love me. 

Meg is such a cuddle bug! Which is so funny cause she was so shy at the shelter! She spends her days sitting in the window, sleeping on the bed, and playing with her favorite toy “mousey”. She also loves to sleep next to me at night almost all night. 

Amy-Kat loves sleeping in her kitty tower, greeting my husband and I when we come home from work with her happy chirps. As well as walking us to the door when we leave for work every morning. She also loves using her “kitty superpowers” to lay on my husband’s chest and purr till he falls asleep (despite his best efforts to not do so).

They both are such sweethearts and a wonderful addition to my family. Love everything about these sweet girls. They complete my home and my life.
