As we head into the final hours of our giveBIG campaign, we are once again awed and humbled by your support. As of 10 pm, we have raised $60,100 which means we will be there for more cats like Dizzy.

Dizzy
When rescuer Sara spotted Dizzy in a free-roaming cat colony in Snohomish, he was in a sorry state. Bullied by the other cats, he had a wound on his nose, flea dirt in his white and brown lynx point coat, and decaying teeth. He looked at Sara with his completely crossed sky-blue eyes and she recognized this middle-aged cat as a diamond in the rough.
While we’ll never know for sure, it’s likely that Dizzy had a home in a previous life, before finding himself out in the cold. Snuggly and desperate for love, his luck was finally changing.
Once at MEOW, we provided gentle reassurance and medical treatment, beginning with his anemia. Although initially stressed, Dizzy soon settled gratefully into his loving foster home. He has recently had dental care, and once fully recovered, Dizzy will be ready for adoption into a much-deserved forever home.
At MEOW, we have valued relationships with several compassionate and dedicated independent rescuers who commit their days, nights and often their own funds, to Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR).
Sometimes they come across cats and kittens who, rather than being returned to their outdoor community, are in dire need of a home. We’re honored to be there for that next step, offering a soft place to land, along with the medical and behavioral care needed to prepare for a brighter future.
We’re so fortunate to work with our wonderful rescue partners who devote themselves to the often-overwhelming task of TNR and to be a part of their tireless mission to give cats like Dizzy a second chance at life.
