GiveBIG 2025 Update – May 6, 10pm

As a BIG giveBIG Day 1 winds down, we are thrilled to report that we have raised $28,400 to provide the necessary care that Kiwi and others like her deserve.

Committed to the Pups Too
Kiwi

This sweet four-year old French cherub relinquished to a local animal shelter as “a stray.” We will never know her past, but we can share her present, and she is definitely in need of the commitment that MEOW Canine Division makes to all the precious pups that come to us.

Her skin is blotchy and red, and her ears are a mess. Although the veterinarians haven’t confirmed the root cause, allergies are certainly a factor. Far more serious are her breathing issues, which will most likely require surgery to correct her elongated soft palate, so that she can breathe comfortably and without struggling.

Despite her maladies, she is a sweet little clown, providing hours of entertainment to her foster family. She likes to be in the middle of the party and has something to say about everything. She loves everyone, gives high fives, and especially enjoys curling up in a lap.

Thanks to the generous donors who give to our Mercy Fund, and the perseverance of our MEOW Canine Division, we’ll be there for Kiwi for as long as it takes. One day, she’ll be breathing easy as she finds the forever family and home she deserves.
