Volunteers are the lifeblood of animal rescue. Can you set aside some time to help in the rescue process? There are many ways in which you might be of service. If you are interested, please complete our Volunteer Application Form.

Adoption Counselor: Matchmaker extraordinaire, who completes families by connecting our shelter residents with their lifelong homes! Also acts as the face of MEOW, providing excellent customer service to all shelter visitors and educating them on shelter policies and animal care.

Buddy: Sunshine on-the-ready, who provides our shelter residents with individualized attention, exercise, and TLC, and provides invaluable insight into their personalities and temperaments!

Cat Cabbie: Paws-to-the-pedal chauffeur, who accompanies our shelter residents to and from their offsite appointments!

Feline Profile Writer: Catastic biographer, who uses the written word to help our shelter residents communicate their personalities and histories to shelter visitors and Petfinder perusers!

Foster Parent: Host-with-the-most, who provides a safe haven for shelter newcomers--ranging from bottle babies to adults with special needs--not yet ready for shelter residency! Learn more about Fostering.

Kennel Attendant: Meownificent orderly, who maintains the comfort of our shelter residents, the cleanliness of our shelter, and the flow of varied shelter operations while the shelter is open to the public! Undertakings range from changing litter to assisting with evening feedings.

Medical Care Assistant: Ameowzing nurse, who assists with the provision of medical and other care to our shelter residents! Undertakings may include restraining for exams; administering vaccines, parasite treatments, and/or other medications; setting up diagnostic tests; and helping with nail trims.

Meet-Your-Match Assessor: Purrfect proctor, who administers the Meet-Your-Match assessment to our adult feline residents, objectively observing their reactions and determining their feline-alities!

Office Assistant: Purr-rimo cleric, who provides varied and critical administrative support to shelter operations! Undertakings include working in organizational databases and answering phone calls.

Outreach Volunteer: Pawsome community engager, who supports MEOW’s presence at and participation in various events outside of the shelter! Events range from offsite adoption opportunities to convention tabling, and undertakings may include staffing the MEOW table, transporting supplies, and set-up/tear-down.

Shelter Assistant: Meownanimous caregiver, who helps beautify the shelter from top-to-bottom and prepare our shelter residents for the day ahead! Undertakings include the cleaning of living quarters and common spaces; the serving of breakfast; and the provision of varied support to shelter maintenance.

Special Events Volunteer: Parameownt facilitator, who helps sustain our work by contributing to the successful execution of our annual auction and holiday crafts bazaar! Undertakings range from procuring items to representing MEOW at organizational events.

How Teens Can Help: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to help at the shelter. But there is so much more that young cat lovers can still do to help us out. For a list of fun things you and your family can do to help MEOW out, check out Teen Opportunities.
